Welcome to the new Songwriter Support series, presented by Direct Support House Concerts. These performances feature a songwriter at their most authentic: Solo or duo, fully or semi-unplugged, in conversation with a small and respectfully engaged audience.
This month's guest songwriter is Robin Mordecai. Robin is a storyteller and poet combined, and as a multi-instrumentalist, he puts those words to music in an especially beautiful way. I hope you'll be here to enjoy some music and conversation with Robin.

POLICIES
Direct Support:
As a guest at our show, you are providing direct support to an independent musician working to make a living with their art. All proceeds go to the artists.
New in 2024 -- Songwriter Support Series:
These special events will be presented in our indoor listening room to a maximum of 25 attendees. Songwriters will perform works in progress, songs not yet recorded, and songs with meaningful stories, and might ask for your feedback. Appropriate dialogue between audience and artist is encouraged.
Listening Room Etiquette:
- Please offer your silent attention to the artist during songs, enthusiastic applause before and after, and respectful feedback, questions, and dialogue with the artist
- If you need to talk with a fellow audience member or on your phone during the performance, please step outside the back door for indoor shows or the gate for outdoor shows
- Please do not bring children or pets
Tickets:
Sold through Eventbrite; advance purchase required
Food and Drink:
- Bring your own beverages and snacks
- You're also welcome (but not required) to bring a potluck item to share
Seating:
- Provided for indoor shows
- Please bring a chair or blanket for outdoor shows
Changes and cancellations:
If the scheduled artist is unable to appear, DSHC will attempt to book another worthy artist. If this proves impossible, the show will be canceled and you will receive a refund.
Venue:
- Our home in south Pflugerville, near Wells Branch and Dessau. You'll receive the exact address when you purchase your ticket.
- Parking is on the surrounding streets. Please be courteous of our neighbors.
