About this event

  • 11 hours 30 minutes

Rabid Brewing's Feast of the Goat Queen is the most fascinating and excitingly weird fest in Chicago's South Suburbs, celebrating Floralia with fae costumes, new beers, live goats, live music, food vendors, exotic entertainment, and an artisan market of the natural, mystical, and magical.

Featuring:

• Brew Tappings

• Music

- Won't Stay Dead - Chicago's devastatingly fun horror-punk band.

- Land Before Tim - The greatest ska-core band of all time. We said it.

•Appearances by Chicago Knockouts Roller Derby

•Artisan Fair
Carefully curated artists from Chicagoland and as far as New York will be present to
provide a unique shopping experience of the natural, mystical, and magical.

• Fae Costumes

Like a renfaire for the fae folk, attendees are encouraged to dress like elves, satyrs, wood
nymphs, goblins, brownies, etc. Leaf wreaths, pointy ears, or a pair of horns fit right in...
but that doesn't mean we don't like the odd-one out, wear that StarCraft Cosplay if you
want, we will love you for it. The Goat Queen and her flock of fae will be a spectacle on
hand to greet you.

• Baby Goats from Deer Creek Farms

Contrary to some beliefs, there will be no eating of goats. But there will be baby goats
abound from 2-6PM. Have a beer, pet a baby goat. Blow kisses at the goats. Tell goat
stories.

• Entertainment of unusual style

• Wrestling

Rabid Wrestling Entertainment (RWE) will be setting up their ring and throwing bodies in a
visceral cosmic battle for their soft debut. The first set of matches begins at 3pm
culminating in the Ragnarok Rumble at 7PM

• Wandering Wizard

What's a beer n' goat fest without some real wizardry? Wandering Wizard Norman Basile
will be out and about performing street magic in broad daylight up close and personal right
before your eyes.

• Food Vendors
Reina de Pozole (latin), Cinnaholic Wicker Park (sweet and savory), Ste Marten (vegan), Jade Court (asian) and more TBA!

• Exotic Arts

7PM is the cutoff time for the under-18 crowd for good reason. The art continues with a more exotic flavor, including burlesque. We're not going to kick folks out, but we want everyone to understand the plan here.

• Burlesque

• Fire Dance Ritual

As it gets darker, out come the flames. Those who have attended Goat Queen before know the beat will thump, the sky will shout, the fire will alight and bounce through the air all to culminate in the vaporization of our burdens. For all the latest updates, see: https://www.rabidbrewing.com/feastofthegoatqueen
