Learn the art of hand lettering with Rachel Macari of Lindeman Carte in this fun two and a half hour break from all holiday obligations.
What is Faux Calligraphy Handlettering?
It sure sounds like a redundant combination of words. Faux Calligraphy Handlettering is faking a calligraphy look using your own handwriting. Don’t worry, you do not have to have naturally pretty handwriting to learn this handlettering style, it is an entirely different art form. It is an everyday alternative to traditional calligraphy that you can use on any surface, from packages to glass or wood.
What will I learn?
We will explore and practice techniques for forming faux calligraphy. We’ll go over everything from basic strokes, forming words, tips, and tools which we will use to make gift tags, envelopes, and a lettered chalkboard. You will walk away with everything you will need to develop your skill and style, just in time to impress your friends and family during the holiday season.
The registration cost is all-inclusive of materials needed for this experience.
An instructional guidebook with alphabet examples
4 of Rachel’s favorite writing utensils
An 8 ½ x 11 Unfinished Wood Chalkboard
A card from Lindeman Carte's Holiday Collection
Sips + snacks
