About this event

Show a Father-figure some love this year by making them a card from scratch! This workshop is hosted by the founder of Rinea, who is constantly donating their older inventory to ACR to save it from the landfill (they're also a dedicated ACR volunteer). How nice is that?! They’ve worked with tons of artists over the years to experiment with foiled paper and figure out all the fun things you can do with it. Join this workshop to learn from the expert and make 3 beautiful cards for Father’s Day (or any occasion).

Some of the techniques used in this class will be heat embossing, splatter ink and stamping. Participants can also experiment on their own and see how tearing and sanding foiled paper creates an awesome effect! The instructor will have a wide range of materials available, but a majority will be hardware/tool or wildflower themed.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 5+ only (yes, adults, too!). Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If the adult is there only to assist, they do not have to purchase a separate ticket for themselves. If the adult wishes to participate as well, they must have their own ticket.

About the Instructor

Diane is an army brat who grew up with a German mother and was introduced to this amazing German foiled paper and the art of making beautiful ornaments with it. She has been making holiday stars for friends and family with it ever since she can remember and has had a dream of sharing it with everyone else. She has also learned a lot about new ways to use this very versatile foiled paper for crafting, scrapbooking and home decor and hopes to spark your creativity with it. She hopes to teach as many workshops as there is interest at ACR.
