Join us for the tenth annual Father's Day 1M, 5K, 10K, 13.1, 26.2 virtual race! On June 16, 2024, it's time to honor and celebrate the #1 Dad in your life. This event is a fantastic opportunity to show your appreciation. It's for all of the Turtley Awesome Fathers out there!
In the spirit of making a difference, we will donate at least 15% of each registration to Team Hoyt. This incredible organization is dedicated to fostering the character, confidence, and self-esteem of disabled and physically challenged young people throughout America. Their commitment to inclusion in all aspects of daily life is truly inspiring. The roots of Team Hoyt date back to 1977 when Rick Hoyt expressed his desire to participate in a 5-mile benefit run for a paralyzed lacrosse player. Despite not being a long-distance runner, Dick Hoyt pushed Rick in his wheelchair, and together they completed the race, finishing next to last. That moment marked the beginning of a remarkable journey. Rick shared with his father, "Dad, when I'm running, it feels like I'm not handicapped."
Event Details:
- Race Options: Choose between 1 mile, 5K, 10K, 13.1 miles, or 26.2 miles. Select the distance that resonates with you and your father figure.
- Timeframe: Complete your race at any time during June 2024. Medals will begin shipping out by mid-May, ensuring you receive yours in time to celebrate Father's Day.
Course and Purpose:
- Course Selection: Design your own course, select your favorite running route, and time yourself. After completing the race, report your finishing time to us, sharing your achievement.
- Purpose: This event is our way of celebrating Father's Day and supporting the remarkable organization, Team Hoyt. By participating, you actively contribute to their cause and make a meaningful impact.
Registration and Contribution:
- Registration Fee: Secure your spot for $20, covering the cost of your medal, bib, and donation to charity. At least 15% of every entry will be donated to Team Hoytt. We are proud to support different charities with each race we organize.
What is a virtual race? A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the road, on the trail, on the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. Running and walking on your own, or with friends! And your medal will be shipped directly to you. Complete a virtual 5Ks, 10K, half marathon and more! Each of our races benefits a different charity. We’ve already raised more than $892,045 for charities from running events on this website! We are making a difference…one race at a time.
