Welcome to the live, interactive training for FAST-Parenting Teens! We will practice implementing and troubleshooting skills.

About this event

In this 2-hour training we will discuss case examples, watch demonstrations, and participate in role plays to learn strategies for teaching FAST-P to caregivers on communication, dealing with teen emotions, improving family relationships, problem solving around common issues, such as homework and screen time.

To participate in this free training for WA providers, you must be one of the following:

IN PRIMARY CARE/MEDICAL SETTING: LMHC, LMHCA, LICSW, LACSW, LCSWA, LMFT, LMFTA, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PCP.

IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS: Certified School Counselor or School Social Worker, School Psychologist, OR working for a behavioral health agency offering services at a school, OR an independently licensed mental health professional and meeting primary care criteria above.

IN LICENSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AGENCIES: LMHC, LMHCA, LICSW, LACSW, LACSW, LCSWA, LMFT, LMFTA, Registered Agency Affiliated Counselor, Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor, Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor, Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

Prior to the live training, you are expected to watch the pre-recorded 2-hour FAST-P training on the website at www.seattlechildrens.org/FAST under the "Training Videos" tab.

Please register for the waitlist even if this training is full. If demand on the waitlist is high enough, we will schedule additional training dates sooner.

Attendees will be eligible to receive up to 4 CE credits from the National Association of Social Workers: (2 from the video training and 2 from the live training)

To receive 4 CE credits, you must:

  • Complete entire asynch video before live training starts
  • Log into the Zoom meeting with your name & email address
  • Must be present to view/hear entire Zoom training
  • Complete Speaker evaluation survey
  • Complete the Post-Conference questionnaire
