Why is this event important?

North Carolina has lost over 40,000 farms since 1974, and ranks second in the nation in potential agricultural land lost by the year 2040. The average farmer is more than 58 years old. The Center for Environmental Farming Systems (CEFS) is the Carolina’s leading resource to inspire and train a new generation of farmers and food system leaders.

Funds raised support CEFS' critical agriculture and food system training programs and create more sustainable and enduring food systems in North Carolina. Our community will benefit from an improved local food system and better access to healthy, local food.

Visit FarmtoForkNC.com/cause to hear from past CEFS interns and apprentices about the direct impact of your support.
