Learn how to make a Kumihimo Braid which will be made into a bracelet on a round disk. Traditionally, Kumihimo is made on a stand, called a Maru Dai, but the round disk, is included in your materials kit and is portable, and fun to use. Then you’ll learn how to apply the clasps to the bracelet, and hear a little about how braids were used in Japan, and how they have evolved. No experience necessary. This is appropriate for ages 10 and up for kids wanting to learn on their own, or for kids 7 and up with mom or dad. If you have a child between the ages of 7 and 9 you are expected to be a student as well, assisting your child if needed, and will be making a braided bracelet of your own.

Materials kit includes disk, fiber, clasps, glue, and directions to take home. You can take home your disk, and directions in order to make more bracelets at home!

Class is limited to 12 people with a minimum of 4 people. Class fee for child over 10 years of age- $45. Class fee for parent with one child $90. Fee for parent and 2 children $135. Class fee includes kit with threads, magnetic clasp, Kumihimo disk, glue, and directions to take home.
