About this event

  • 2 hours

Are you curious about the Union Street protected bike lane? Do you have concerns about safety? Bring the kids along for this special family ride. We’ll enjoy safety in numbers as we explore the new bike lane, learn a little about navigating Union Street and its benefits, and wrap up with a nice picnic in the park. Pack your favorite picnic goodies!

The total distance of this ride will be 2 miles. If your child is getting tired before the halfway point, you can turnaround and go back (no worries). The route is flat and is entirely on the Union Street protected bike lane.

Scooters, balance bikes, and bikes with training wheels are okay. Tricycles are not recommended.

We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, and at least one spare tube that fits your bike's wheels. Helmets are recommended for everyone and required for anyone under 18.
