Family Full Moon EcoWalk

P lease register with the name and information of one adult who is attending, then choose the total number of adults and children attending for each family in the dropdown menus. Please do not register each person separately. Minors must be accompanied by an adult guardian.

Join a UF/IFAS Extension Sarasota County educator to enjoy the mysteries of the moonlight. Discover the wonders of the night sky and observe nature by night.

A night adventure awaits you to explore the natural environment and learn about the animal and plant families that call the outdoors home.

Families of all ages welcome, fun activities for kids.

*****Trail Accessibility Information:

Trail surface/conditions: One-mile, paved ADA accessible walking trail with views of pond and bat houses (boardwalk is closed), with one boardwalk bridge. There are cement sidewalks. There are also unpaved trails with well packed sandy soil, areas of loose soil, and occasional roots.

Potential obstacles/barriers/hazards: Tree roots or ruts on unpaved trails, however most surfaces are fairly level.

Accessibility options available: Accessible restrooms, entry to Historical Doctor’s House, benches, informational kiosks, picnic shelters and pavilion.
