About this event

  • 4 hours

Jockey Being Family and WiFCC invite you to join us at the Bear Den Zoo & Petting Farm in Waterford. Each registrant for your family will receive an entry ticket into the Bear Den and lunch (sub sandwiches, chips, and drinks). Please note: lunch will be available from 12pm-1pm. Limit of 5 tickets per household. This event is for Wisconsin's adoptive, foster, guardianship, relative caregiver, and reunified families and individuals!

The event begins at 11am. WiFCC staff will have a place for families to check-in from 11am to 12pm, and registrants will receive an email with these details as the date draws nearer. Learn more about the zoo at https://www.beardenzoo.com/. Additional snacks, food, and beverages available for purchase at the zoo.

This event would be a great opportunity to invite your child's birth/first family or previous foster family. We understand this may not work for all families, but encourage you to consider it. We hope to create an opportunity for children to have all their loved ones in one location whenever possible and create positive memories together. Please have each household register separately.

Please reach out to Christy at ctimm@cclse.org with any questions or accommodation needs for this event.

The Wisconsin Family Connections Center (WiFCC) is funded by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. The WiFCC provides support and services to parents and caregivers across the continuum of kinship care, foster care, and post-post permanency, including reunification, guardianship, and adoption. The WiFCC also serves as an excellent resource for professionals serving these families and caregivers.
