Fall'19 Prototyping Fund Showcase

The NYU MakerSpace is a cutting edge lab aiming to foster projects at the intersection of technology, creativity and innovation. It features rapid prototyping and PCB production equipment, as well as advanced machining and testing capabilities. The MakerSpace hosts the Design Lab which provides NYU students with opportunities to ideate, experiment, prototype, and build their ideas.

During this event, teams will present their projects and discuss what they have learned through building and testing their prototypes.

<a href="http://makerspace.engineering.nyu.edu/opportunities/prototypingfund/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">The NYU Prototyping Fund</a> is a collaborative program offered by <a href="http://makerspace.engineering.nyu.edu/designlab/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the Design Lab</a> at NYU Tandon MakerSpace and <a href="http://entrepreneur.nyu.edu/about/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">the NYU Entrepreneurial Institute</a> that awards multi-disciplinary teams of NYU students from across the University funding (up to $500 for Phase 1) to build hardware or software prototypes, and connects them with the resources, tools, and mentors they need to bring their ideas to life. Past awardees have gone on to win the $300k Entrepreneurs Challenge and InnoVention Competitions, receive grants from NYU Green Grant, VentureWell and the NSF, raise angel/venture capital funding and several remain in business shipping products and generating revenue!During this event, teams will present their projects and discuss what they have learned through building and testing their prototypes.Come and join us on December 5th from 3:30 to 5 PM in the EventSpace of the NYU Tandon MakerSpace.
