<h1>Fall 2022 Unicycle Program</h1><p>This program introduces children and adults, alike, to unicycling and several unicycling disciplines recognized by the International Unicycling Federation (IUF) and the Unicycle Society of America (USA). </p><p>All abilities are welcome, including those with zero unicycling experience. New riders will be instructed in the fundamentals -- riding, turning, and free mounting and refining those skills through fun and engaging activities.</p><p>Experienced riders will explore new tricks and skills through structured activities, games, and practice in the skatepark.</p><h3>Program Requirements</h3><ul><li>A working unicycle (A limited number of loaners are available. Contact Dylan if you are interested)</li><li>Bike helmet</li><li>Gloves (recommended) Dylan recommends the Kris Holm Pulse gloves with built in wrist guards. These gloves have extra padding on the palm as well as a built in wrist protector that does not interfere with gripping a unicycle saddle or handlebar. </li><li>Alternatively, Dylan recommends full finger bike-specific gloves with extra padding in the palm or “demolition gloves” found at the hardware store.</li><li>Wrist protectors with a hard plastic palm, like the ones marketed for skateboarding, are not recommended because they interfere with gripping the unicycle for technical maneuvers.</li><li>A TeamApp account for practice announcements and changes</li></ul><h3>Program Dates</h3><p>Every Saturday (10AM - 12PM) from Oct 29, 2022 to Nov 26, 2022</p><p>Plus two bonus beginner-only sessions on Thursday (4:30-6PM) Oct 27, 2022 and Nov 3, 2022</p><p>Additional mountain unicycle pick up rides will be available in December, weather permitting.</p><h3>Practice Location</h3><p>Fossil Creek Park</p><p>5821 South Lemay Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80525</p><h3>Resources</h3><p>Unicycles</p><ul><li>Unicycle.com</li><li>Unicycle.co.uk (Ships from the UK) May have stock when unicycle.com is out of stock</li><li>Renegade Juggling</li><li>Mad4One (Ships from Italy) &gt; Good unicycles but site can be confusing</li></ul><p>*Contact Dylan for help ordering</p><p>Gear</p><ul><li>Riding gloves</li><li>https://www.unicycle.com/safety-gear (specifically, KH Pulse gloves)</li><li>Demolition gloves https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-Medium-Demolition-Gloves-48-22-8731/206613533</li></ul><h3></h3><h3><strong>Cost = $60 per rider</strong></h3><h3>*F﻿or families with multiple riders, we will offer multi-participant discounts.
