This evening of dance offers audiences a chance to witness bold, boundary-pushing choreography from some of the region’s most exciting local and nationally recognized movement artists.“FALL DANCE is an invitation to celebrate the rich artistic talent right here in our community,” says Artistic Director Jen Polins. “These artists are not only innovators on stage but also dedicated teachers who inspire the next generation of movers and makers.”Featured artists include:<ul><li>L<a href="https://loslittleguys.com/" title="https://loslittleguys.com/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">OS LITTLE GUYS </a>– an internationally touring Mexico-USA project founded in 2017 by Erik Elizondo and Dimitri Kalaitzidis (PVPA alumnus, current Smith MFA).</li><li><a href="https://www.chloelondon.com/bio" title="https://www.chloelondon.com/bio" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Chloe London Dance</a> – NYC-based choreographer and recent Smith College MFA graduate.</li><li><a href="https://www.scdtnoho.com/jen-polins.html" title="https://www.scdtnoho.com/jen-polins.html" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Jen Polins</a> – Founding Artistic Director of SCDT and two-time MCC choreographic fellow.</li><li>Gabriella Carmichael – Smith MFA graduate and local movement educator.</li><li><a href="https://www.atlandresidency.org/" title="https://www.atlandresidency.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Ellie Goudie-Averill</a> – Co Director of ATLAND in Chesterfield MA and SCDT faculty</li><li><a href="https://www.atlandresidency.org/" title="https://www.atlandresidency.org/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tori Lawrence </a>– SCDT Board Member,interdisciplinary artist and Co-Director of ATLAND</li><li><a href="https://www.madisonpalffy.com/about" title="https://www.madisonpalffy.com/about" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Madison Palffy</a> – local choreographer and co-director of LOCULUS in Holyoke, MA.</li></ul>Through FALL DANCE, SCDT continues its mission of cultivating a vibrant space where performance, education, and community meet. Since its founding in 2014, SCDT has supported over 1,500 artists, curated more than 400 events, and engaged with over 10,000 community members.SCDT provides classes, workshops, and performances that connect local audiences to internationally acclaimed artists while fostering creativity, collaboration, and inclusion.
