A One-Day Workshop in Western Marbling with Acrylic Paints

  • This instructed one-day standalone marbling workshop will guide participants through the process of marbling successively more intricate patterns, as well as time to experiment with your own unique designs.
  • By the end of this class, those who wish to pursue their skills will have the experience and knowledge to do so.
  • Participants can go home with 10-12 sheets of their own marbled paper to use for endpapers, note cards, bookmarks, or wrapping paper.

Workshop Details: Paper Marbling (Instructed)

  • Day/Date/Time: Saturday, October 19, 2024, 2024 – 10 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Instructor: Sandie Brayman
  • Class Size: Max 8 students.
  • Skill level: No previous Paper Marbling experience is required.
  • Location: Virginia Center for the Book (map: Jefferson School City Center)
  • Fee: $130 VCB Members / $150 Non-Members
  • Class may be*UVa Education Benefit Eligible, non-degree certification class #101924 (must use non-member price)
  • Course fees must be paid to complete your registration.
  • Registration closes on October 16, 2024
  • Fees include all materials along with tools available for in-class use.

An additional marbling workshop will follow on Sunday, October 20, 2024

  • A second non-instructed workshop will be offered the following day for those who've taken this or previous classes and/or are experienced marblers.
  • While Sandi Brayman will supervise this Sunday session, no instruction will be provided!
  • There is a separate fee for this workshop session.
