Fair Housing Webinar: Rights for Renters


This online event aims to empower renters to understand and exercise their fair housing rights. This webinar will provide insights and strategies to navigate discriminatory rental barriers in North Dakota.


When: Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 12:00 pm (CDT).


During this interactive session, learn about shared experiences, discuss best practices, and shed light on the importance of fair housing:

Key topics to be covered in the webinar include:

  • Exploring housing disparities: Examine the systemic barriers that contribute to unequal housing opportunities for marginalized and underrepresented groups.
  • Fair housing laws and protections: Learn about your rights and protections in place to ensure equal housing access and combat discrimination.
  • Learn the federal and North Dakota state protected classes: how you are protected against housing discrimination - race, color, religion, national origin, sex, familial status, disability, receipt of public assistance, marital status, or age over 40.

  • Attendees must be logged into Zoom for the entirety of the training
  • Attendees must be logged into Zoom with the first and last name they would like printed on their certificate
  • Attendees must request the certificate in Zoom chat at the beginning and at the end of the webinar
  • Certificates will be issued within two week of the training
