Join us for an energetic evening where faculty share their research in just 90 seconds—no slides, no jargon, just engaging stories designed for everyone.From health and environment to technology and society, these bite-sized talks make big ideas accessible and fun. Presenters are judged by a lively panel of community members, campus leaders, and two local seventh graders...because great research should spark curiosity across generations.Come be part of a celebration of learning, storytelling, and discovery. Whether you love science, enjoy learning something new, or just want a fun and inspiring night out, this event is for you. Hosted by the Center for Communicating Science at Virginia Tech

When: Thursday, March 5, 2026 | 4:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. Followed by a post-event celebration.

Where: Anne and Ellen Fife Theatre, Center for the Arts, Virginia Tech (190 Alumni Mall, Blacksburg, VA)Cost: Free and open to the public

Parking: Available .2 miles from The Center for the Arts at the North End Parking Garage (paid parking) and in the Squires Parking Lot (free parking after 5 p.m.). Handicapped parking is available on-site. Click here for a parking map and more information.
