Facilitation Basics for Coastal Managers

DE National Estuarine Research ReserveDover, DE
Thursday, July 23  •  9 AM - 4 PM
Overview

Participants will learn basic facilitation skills, tools to engage participants, and techniques for dealing with disruptive behaviors.

This is a one day, in-person training: 7/23/26 | 9am - 4pm

Productive meetings are essential to effectively plan for and manage the diverse interests and needs in our coastal communities. In this course, participants will learn basic facilitation skills, tools to engage participants, and techniques for dealing with disruptive behaviors. Class time is provided to practice using tools and skills to plan and facilitate meetings that accomplish objectives while minimizing conflict. Participants at every level are welcome since these skills are useful even when attending, but not running, a meeting.

This course offers 6 hours of continuing education credits for the American Institute of Certified Planners.

The DNREC's DE National Estuarine Research Reserve strives to provide training opportunities without barriers. If you have a need to request a fee waiver to participate in this training, please contact Lynne Pusey at lynne.pusey@delaware.gov or 302-735-3417.
