How much is the course?

Your $200 covers the cost of the mini-drone, textbook, and snacks during the course. This does NOT cover the $175 testing fee for the FAA Exam. That cost is on your own.

Can anyone come to the class?

Yes, all ages are allowed to come and study with us. However, only those who are 16 years or older are allow to officially take the test through the FAA.

Where will the class be located?

The workshop will take place on the ISU campus, room to be determined. Please check your email (spam) for information on the classroom location the week prior to class. Expect an email from shawn.barstow@usu.edu or jthayn@ilstu.edu.

Do I need to bring anything?

All you need is a notebook to take notes or you can write in the margins of your textbook.

Is there an Eventbrite charge?

Yes, there is a small fee for using Eventbrite that you will have to cover. As a state university, we charge only enough to cover travel and other minimal costs, and can't cover additional fees.

What are the times of the class?

We start at 0800 until 1700 each day with plenty of breaks and lunch. We are looking for sponsors to help cover the cost of lunch if you happen to know anyone who would like to donate to our workshop. Otherwise, lunch will probably be on your own.
