Exposure - dj NIMBUS 50th + Sour D Bday Celebration

After an amazing celebration of local House Community DJ's birthdays in April, Exposure is now poised for another huge showing in May. First we celebrate the 50th birthday of the one and only DJ Nimbus, a landmark birthday for a talented dude! dj NIMBUS respresents a pillar amongst a handful of native souls who champion the House Culture of Texas, and with a unified collective, have created many memorable nights of soulful bliss over the last 21 years in Houston. Exposure has spanned over 12 years with over 90 plus differenent combinations of guest dj's from near and abroad!

Our second celebrant is one of our newest residents DJ, Sour D! This brother is a newer contributor to the scene, but not brand new! He can throw down, as shown in our event in March! His sound is the combination of youthful funk + old soul deep! Sour D is also an up & coming producer that may surprise you on the dance floor with one of his future hits! Let’s help him celebrate epically.

BREAKING NEWS!!!! A special imported local legend returns to the drums for this milestone event, known to the all affectioinately as Tian Chi Chi! Tian has been an integral part of Exposure since it's inception, and has accentuated almost every night memories where made on the dancefloors of our previous locations. Fate would have it, that COVID rearranged life in a way that relocated our event, and even 1/2 of our talent and patrons. We miss his presence, so we had to bring him back for this special occassion!

Completing the mix of mixologists, will of course be the soulful and vocal stylings of J. Salaam. Anyone who has been around the Houston House Scene knows of the legendary work of Brotha Jibril aka J. Salaam from events like The Kitchen, The Shakedown, Ritual, Sync Radio and many other iconic events!
