We hope you will join us on Monday, October 9th for this Toniic Gathering, and we also welcome you to join the events at the Kleissners' home in Big Sur on October 6th, 7th and 8th (more details below)!

Agenda:

Optional Pre-Gathering Event: Massages in Big Sur on Friday, October 6th

• Massages from local, world-renowned massage therapists at the Kleissners' home. Advance booking is required for these 1.5 hour massages; you can sign up for your slot here: http://tinyurl.com/bigsur-massages.

Saturday, October 7th 8am-12pm: Joshua Creek Hike

• Hike on private property up Joshua Creek to survey damage done by the devastating 2016 Soberanes Fire and witness how nature is renewing itself.
  

Sunday, October 8th at 6:30pm: Dinner & Dancing with Toniic and 100% Impact Network Members

• On the last night of the 100% Gathering and the eve of the Toniic Members Meeting, everyone is invited for a group evening of dinner, music and dancing hosted at the Kleissners' home!

• This event is open to all Toniic members. It includes dinner and a unique peek into the world of the Big Surian. Norm Cotton, bulldozer operator by day, piano player by night, will join us for an evening of Contra Dancing complete with “caller” and dancer/instructors who will help all of us figure this out. Norm was instrumental in helping the Big Sur community recovery from the devastating fires of 2016 and the floods of 2017. So whether you are a dancer or an observer, the evening will be fun! Norm will be accompanied by his band of joyous fiddlers.

• The event is open to the first 50 folks who sign up!

Monday, October 9th: "Exploring the Continuum of Capital" - Toniic Members Meeting at the Monterey Bay Aquarium

• 8:30am-3:30pm: Have a look at the draft agenda!

• Member-led sessions: Tides Foundation will facilitate a workshop on how to think of your philanthropic activities and your impact investing activities strategically as a complementary and integrated set
  

• Aligning purpose and performance: trends, transfers, tactics.
• Julie Shafer will present impact investing research by Bank of the West. Julie is the Head of Strategic Philanthropy & Purpose Investments, for Family Wealth Advisors, Bank of the West Wealth Management, BNP Paribas Group.
• After the meeting, enjoy full access to the Monterey Bay Aquarium from 3:30-5pm!

Pre-event for AGG18

This discussion about the continuum of capital fits well with our Annual Global Gathering 2018 theme of "Leading an Impactful Life." The work that we do together at this meeting will be shared by some of our members at the AGG with the rest of the Toniic community, towards the objective of further embedding philanthropic capital into our our portfolio model.
