Exploring the power of Systems Thinking in PracticeSystems thinking offers a complementary way of working with complexity through a different lens. It taps into our intuitive knowing that all things and beings are interconnected and inter-dependent. The practice of systems thinking lies in understanding patterns between phenomena rather than breaking issues down into constituent parts, in the knowledge that the definition of a problem determines the possible solutions. Combining a systemic lens with systematic rigour can lead to more effective interventions, where novel outcomes become possible.Join us for an introductory session to systems thinking ideas and ways of putting that knowing into practice in your life and work.This session will be led by Joan O'Donnell Ph.D, who lectures in Systems Thinking and is a Fellow of SCiO.SCiO Ireland is part of Systems in Complex Organisation, a global community of systems practitioners who believe that traditional approaches to running organisations are no longer capable of dealing with the complexity and turbulence faced by organisations today and are responsible for many of the problems we see today. We believe that systemic approaches to designing and running organisations offer radically new and better alternatives.SCiO has three main objectives:<ul><li>Developing practice in applying systems ideas to a range of organisational issues</li><li>Disseminating the use of systems approaches in dealing with organisational issues</li><li>Supporting practitioners in their professional practice</li></ul>https://www.systemspractice.org.
