The purpose of the Coalition is to drive urgent action for circulatory health.The Coalition's White Paper for Circulatory Health, which was launched in 2018 in NYC around the High Level Meeting on Non-communicable Diseases (UN HLM on NCDs) and the UNGA, underlines that diseases such as heart disease &amp; stroke, diabetes, hypertension, obesity, kidney disease, mental health are intrinsically linked with each other. Each condition affects each other in various ways leading to a vicious circle of cause and consequence. Focusing efforts on how to improve quality and efficiency within the healthcare system is critical now more than ever with the backdrop of Member States fulfilling the mandate of Universal Health Coverage. In this respect one of the underlying themes of the White Paper is the call for multi-sectoral and comprehensive health system strategies including screening for co-morbidities in high risk patients and integrated health prevention and management. Expanding on the above, and using circulatory health as a key example, we aim to address this issue of multi-morbidities prevention and control in more detail and the measures which are needed in order to ensure that health systems respond to their increasing burden. Please note that seating for this event is limited. Upon registration you will receive an email confirming receipt of your expression of interest.
