Make a collage day! This workshop is for all levels -- beginner, experienced, and anywhere in between. A variety of magazine materials will be provided. Reimagine your favorite landscapes, still life, photos, maps. Artist Louise Hoffman will lead the workshop and present examples of a variety of approaches to suggest placement though collage design, composition, color, and imagery. Join us to express your unique place through collage. Have fun playing with images. $45 includes materials
About your instructor: Louise Hoffman
Louise graduated Alfred University, School of Art and Design with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and later added to her education professional training from The Culinary Institute of America. She has spent her career creatively as a chef and a chef instructor in New York City. In her free time, she returned to her love of ceramics and studied at Greenwich House Pottery, Brooklyn Clay and Gasworks in NYC. A longtime resident of Park Slope, Brooklyn, she recently relocated to Glens Falls. She focuses now on exploring ceramics and various mixed media, volunteering as a docent at the Hyde Collection, getting involved with the local art community and enjoying hiking the beautiful Adirondacks. Her artwork has been displayed at Birds of a Feather Gallery in Chestertown, NY, and in the LARAC Gallery and in the Friend’s Gallery in Crandall Public Library, both in Glens Falls, NY.
