Snohomish County WSU Extension Agriculture Program

This is a two-day, two-part workshop that will help you engage students in natural places, research and information from their own communities in an impactful way.  It will help you teach your students about the local environment while enriching their hands-on science and engineering skills!  
<H2 CLASS="MsoNormal">Teachers who attend will:</H2>

<LI>
Learn up to date information on local water pollution, wildlife and habitat issues facing us today from local scientists, researchers and engineers.
</LI>
<LI>
Utilize Project Based Learning Model to integrate disparate activities, learning objectives and topics into one cohesive learning experience.
</LI>
<LI>
Connect to local areas and schoolyard activities to engage students in engineering design projects that are locally relevant
</LI>
<LI>
Plan customized units to connect workshop lessons with what you will teach right away
</LI>
<LI>
Get trained on tested wildlife, ecosystem and erosion classroom and field-based activities
</LI>
</UL>
Please note:  To receive all 8.5 clock hours, you must attend both sessions.  You are welcome to come to Wednesday or Saturday, although you will miss some content.  For Wednesday, you will receive 3 clock hours, for Saturday, you will receive 5.5 clock hours.  
Please sign up for both individual sessions if you plan to attend both.
