Nia Tero, Indigenous Leadership Initiative, and Resources Legacy Fund would like to invite you to an in-person gathering to discuss the evolution of Indigenous-led guardianship in the United States. The purpose of this convening is to exchange information about existing efforts and to discuss the establishment of a National Network of Indigenous Guardians.
On April 28th, 29th, and 30th at the Lummi Nation, Silver Reef Casino Hotel and Conference Center https://www.silverreefcasino.com/ we will be convening a gathering of leaders to discuss next steps for a network of Indigenous guardians in the United States. Nia Tero, Resources Legacy Fund, and teh Indigenous Leadership Initiative will continue to support this building conversation. This gathering will be a time for Indigenous leaders to share their ongoing work and to identify common needs that could be enabled and expanded with a national Indigenous Guardians network. The organizers work with and alongside our Indigenous partners seeking to add value to this nascent, yet building, conversation. We want to be explicit that our role is to assist, provide some resources, and to help catalyze at this early stage.
