Exploring Galway's Native Flora

Phoebe O'Brien is a botanist working in Ireland. She has taught botany and plant identification for 5 years at public and private events as well as at the National university of Ireland Galway

<P CLASS="MsoNormal">An easy walk of around 2 hours covering 2 km along the canal and riverside, led by a botanist. You will learn how to use a hand-lens, how to figure out plants using relevant books and hopefully be able to recognise and name some common plants at the end of the walk.</P>
<P CLASS="MsoNormal">There will be a short toilet break at Carrolls Pub half way through the walk. This is an event organised by the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland. Bring: rainwear, sun-cream, outdoor shoes, note books and cameras.</P>
