About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours

Coyote Hills was once the site of a Tuibun Ohlone village. In more recent times, it was a ranch and farm, a quarry, a hunting club, and even a Cold War missile launch site!

We'll begin our outing with a walk along the marsh to the Ohlone village site. Then, we'll trek around Lizard Rock to the outlet between two marshes. We'll also hike the Bay Trail and cross between hills on the Soaproot Trail.

After the hike, we can visit the nectar garden and visitor center to view exhibits illustrating the area's Ohlone heritage.
