Join Emily Pool from the LTC on Zoom to gain new tools to engage students in Math.
Exploring Computer Science in the Content Areas (Series)
Today's Session will focus on Math!
Are you looking for new tools to help engage students in math? Would you like to see students creating with technology instead of just passively consuming it? Join us for our second event in a series of 4 virtual workshops to learn how to incorporate computational thinking and critical thinking skills like pattern recognition, abstraction, decomposition, and algorithmic thinking. During each session, we'll learn foundational computer science concepts through a variety of cross-curricular activities that not only expand students' technology skillsets but also support and enhance your core content! Come to one or join us for all four, you'll walk away with ready to use lessons and resources that you can easily incorporate into any curriculum. No computer science expertise is required.
2 PD hours will be given.
