About this event

  • 2 hours

If you love to travel and love to write, this is for you! We will discuss how to use all your senses in a new destination to create more detailed and in-depth descriptions that capture and maintain readers’ interest, and whether or not you need to include photos with your work. You will also learn how to find and submit your finished product to print and online markets, the business side of travel writing (how to take travel tax deductions), and how to avoid worn-out travel writing clichés. Informative handouts for future use are included in class fee. The instructor LeeAnne Krusemark is a former journalist, current author and editor, and a nationwide Professor of Publishing at higher learning institutions, including Harvard Adult Education. The webinar login information will be emailed the day before class. To access this class, send an email to uvc_sthelena@napavalley.edu after registration. You will receive a link the day before class from leeanne@krusemarkgrinnell.com. Pre-registration is required.

Refund Policy: “Requests for a refund on a fee-based class not cancelled by the college must be made at least three (3) working days prior to the beginning of the class. No refunds can be made on requests made after that date. A $5 per person processing fee will be retained on all refunds unless the class is cancelled or meeting times are changed by the college.”
