This is the 8th annual Explore Mayo Cycle hosted by Castlebar Cycling Club. Our goal is to provide a day to remember touring through the beautiful south Mayo while taking in some of the most scenic routes along the way. Explore Mayo cycle 2017
Mayo is fast-becoming one of the leading counties in Ireland for cycling. 
Already leading the way with fabulous cycling greenways and scenery it now has some of the top Sportive cycles. 
This is the fifth year of the 'Explore Mayo Cycle' and this year there are three routes to suit all levels of cyclists. 
The 50km route is geared towards the beginner from Breaffy to Castlebar to Partry where refreshments will be served. <A HREF="http://ie.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4246482.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Map link</A> 
The 100km route is more suitable for intermediate level cyclists and takes in the beautiful countryside of Tourmakeady, Finney, Clonbur/Cong and back through Ballinrobe. <A HREF="http://ie.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4222148.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Map link</A>
The third and final route is 150km and passes through the picturesque village of Lecanvey (via Westport), Louisburgh, Delphi, Leenane and then joins up with the 100km route. <A HREF="http://ie.mapometer.com/cycling/route_4222149.html" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Map link</A>
This year's participants can look forward to getting a free retro-style jersey with their entry. 
There will be a limited supply on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be a goody-bag per entry in addition to refreshments before and after the event.
The event starts and finishes at Breaffy House Resort. 
Rooms are available from Breaffy House Hotel at a special discounted-rate (subject to availability).
Registration will take place at Breaffy House Resort on Friday evening from 5.30 - 8.30pm and again on Saturday morning from 7.30-8.30am.

We will have an after event BBQ on the night of the event in Castlebar, more details will be posted on our facebook page.
