Registration is open September 30 - November 5, 2026!

Registration is limited to 4 participants per stream and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.


Course Schedule:

Day 1 - Water Chemistry Analysis Stream:

Participants will gain hands-on experience operating ion chromatography (IC), performing IC data analysis, and measuring pH and electroconductivity. This session covers preparation of calibration standards, anion and cations eluents, and water samples.

Day 1 - Tailings Dewatering Stream:

This session includes polymer solution preparation, flocculation using both cup & fork and overhead mixer methods, and solids content measurement.

Day 2 - BOTH Streams

This day focuses on homogenization and subsampling of solid and slurry samples. By the end of this session, participants will be able to select appropriate homogenization and subsampling methods based on sample type and determine whether subsamples are representative.

Each session includes theoretical instruction, hazard assessment, review of standard operating procedures, and hands-on training led by experienced technologists.

Registration Requirements:

In order to register for the camp, you must:

· have completed your first year

· have a WHMIS certificate (or equivalent training) prior to registration

· complete H2S awareness training prior to camp (note: we will provide you H2S training to complete prior to starting the camp)
