But what if you can’t conduct a classic A/B test randomly splitting your audience at the client level? If you can split your audience at the region level, then you can try the so-called Geo experiment and apply your changes in a fraction of regions while leaving other regions as is. In my talk, I will discuss different approaches to geo-testing in marketing. The talk is based on a real case of setting up and running geo-tests for evaluations of post-view campaigns in digital marketing. Depending on the strength of the influence between groups in AB testing, results might be inconclusive, even when actual changes are very significant.
