Overview

We’re excited to announce the next exhibition at Artlink Hull | 87 Gallery: Isaac Yeboah | Daylight Comes Through the Cracks

Isaac Yeboah is a Ghanaian artist based in Hull. His work speaks to deep, ancestral traditions, transforming this knowledge into vivid, abstract imagery, rich in detail and meaning.

For Daylight Comes Through the Cracks Yeboah invites us to experience the detailed tapestry of Ghanaian folklore, which is often communicated verbally between generations. The title of the exhibition comments on his upbringing in West Africa, through which he pieced together history and life lessons to form his own understanding of the world. Yeboah documents these personal and universal learnings through intricate drawings on paper, canvas and clay, surfaces that for him represent the remnants of history.

Isaac was the first recipient of our Streams Bursary in 2024 and we are delighted to be able to extend our support of his unique practice through this commission and exhibition.

Celebrate with us at the public launch on Friday 1 May 2026, 6-8pm (quiet hour 5-6pm)
