About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

Embark on a transformative journey with Temple of the Sacred Womb at Kuya. This intimate gathering offers a deep dive into the world of Hapé, a sacred shamanic medicine. The event features an enlightening discussion about Hapé's origins and the challenges it faces in the Rainforest, with insights directly from those safeguarding the Amazon.

Participants will experience the personal administration of Hapé, followed by reflective activities and a community share circle.

This ceremony offers a chance to connect with this sacred medicine, sourced directly from the Kuntanwa Tribe of Acre, Brazil, renowned for their high-quality Hapé and commitment to protecting the Rainforest and raising awareness of this mission globally. Hapé and related supplies will also be available for purchase, allowing you to continue your journey with this ancient tool.

DISCLAIMER:

Participants must be 18 years or older to attend this Hapé ceremony. This event is for spiritual and educational purposes and is not a medical treatment. Hapé typically contains tobacco, and its effects can be potent. We advise consulting a healthcare professional before attending, especially if you have health concerns or conditions. This event should not be viewed as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Hapé (pronounced hah-pay) is a shamanic snuff made up of finely ground medicinal plants from the Amazon rainforest region. Often with a Tobacco base, there are many different blends of Hapé containing anything from tree bark to herbs to flowers and ash, and the snuff is blown up your nose for the benefit it brings such as clearing the mind and grounding the body, opening the physical and spiritual senses of awareness, and dispersing any stuckness around one’s being.

The vast majority of Hapé is non-psychoactive but can induce general meditative states, along with a profound sense of earth-connection and embodiment, presence, and ease. Very gentle and non-committal in terms of medicine options, this is a great place to start for those who want to explore this world but may only want to stick their toe in, or otherwise for people who want to ground and connect after more intense medicinal experiences.

Hapé also serves as a powerful enhancement to any kind of healing work or therapy generally, as it is an ideal tool for integration and processing of whatever is "up" for you at the moment when you engage.

About Temple of The Sacred Womb:

Temple of the Sacred Womb is a private medicine church and tribal society in the Austin, TX area. Founded in 2017, its mission, purpose, and duty is to encourage direct relationships with self, tribal community, the Earth, and to our Source Creator in order to equip human beings with lasting foundations of self- and ecological connection. TOSW accomplishes this through such practices as ceremonial experiences, commemoration of natural time cycles, sacramental use of Nature’s gifts, masculine/feminine balance, and community circles and discussions; regular offerings include: retreats with indigenous wisdomkeepers, weekly men & women’s circles, quarterly solstice & equinox celebrations, integration circles, in-house ceremonies, and more.

In sum, we desire to see lives transformed by the universal power of embodied Love, and to create hope for a bountiful, connected, and harmonious future of humanity and future generations through a tribal revival modeled after Nature’s templates.
