About this event

  • 2 hours 30 minutes

In the middle of the Long Island Sound, off the shores of the "Great Gatsby" coastline of Long Island, is an unassuming lighthouse filled with stories of fires, shipwrecks, murders, and ghostly encounters. Now's your chance to explore the historic island and uncover its eerie past for yourself.

Join New York Adventure Club for an exclusive exploration of Execution Rocks Lighthouse, a privately-owned 1850s lighthouse in the middle of the Long Island Sound built to help ships navigate the rocky waters.

Led by the longtime lighthouse owner, our incredibly unique experience will include:

  • Round trip boat transportation to and from Execution Rocks Lighthouse
  • An overview of Execution Rocks Lighthouse and the legends behind its morbid name
  • An opportunity to explore the famed lighthouse and light keeper's quarters on your own

Each trip is limited to under 10 guests to ensure the most intimate experience possible.

Afterward, head over to Louie's Prime Steak & Seafood for some great food, drinks, and views of the Long Island Sound!

See you there!

*Closed-toe shoes are required

**The island can only be accessed by climbing a steel ladder

***Since there is no running water on the island, guests are advised to use the restrooms at Town Dock before departing (back side of the brown building at the entrance to the parking lot) and to bring hand wipes

****While water bottles will be available on the island, we recommend bringing your own water in addition to proper head coverings as there is little shade on the ~30 minute boat rides in each direction

*****Transportation to Port Washington is not included

******No children under the age of 13 are permitted

*******Guests will be required to fill out the Execution Rocks Lighthouse liability waiver before the tour begins
