MARS: Anatomy of a Breakthrough Project in Project Based Learning

This is a virtual event.Take a deep dive with Tinkering School and Brightworks founder, Gever Tulley, into the Mars Project of 2020. Several young humans who drove this project will also be in the session, one of them reporting directly from the Mars lava tube.<ul><li>How do authentically student-lead large scale projects happen? </li><li>How do the principles of guided-play apply when the time scale is months and years? </li><li>How did an old saying from Apollo-era NASA become the rallying cry of a rag-tag group of students scattered by COVID and dedicated to a crazy idea? How did this project change the daily practice with students? </li></ul>
