What is a ruck?

Rucking is a form of exercise with roots in military training. Very simply, it's walking a set distance while carrying a weight in a backpack. Rucking (also known as ruck marching) comes from from the word “ruck sack,” which is a durable backpack meant for carrying equipment.

How heavy does my ruck need to be?

Suggested is 25lbs for females and 35lbs for males. We aren't weighing your ruck. It is YOUR challenge. Do what works for you!

Can Kids Ruck?

Absolutely! This can be a family event, but please keep your child with you at all times. We don't want anyone wandering off the trails. (Unattended children will be given lots of candy.)

How long is the ruck?

It is a 4 mile down and back ruck. (8 Miles total)

What if I can't do the entire 8 miles?

Ruck it your way! If you need to turn and head back sooner- totally up to you.

How Fast is the Ruck?

Ruck at your own pace.
