Evergreens are often the backbone of the garden, year-round, color-constant, and important to establishing long seasonality. They are one of the foundational aspects of great garden design. Many are low maintenance, too.

- The differences between broad-leaf evergreens and needle conifers and which are right for your garden
- How to choose correctly for screening—and what is a “mixed border”
- What varieties are most deer-resistant?
- How big will it grow up to be? And how long will it take to reach maturity? How to size and scale correctly for your garden and corresponding architecture
