About this event

You're invited to volunteer with N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center, at the Arboretum at Tanglewood Park. Join us at the Arboretum to assist with a variety of gardening tasks. Tasks may include: weeding, mulching, watering, planting, and more.

Volunteers will meet at the Arboretum office at 5:45 PM for a short orientation. Garden work will take place between 6 and 7:30 PM. All registered participants will receive directions to the Arboretum. If you are a minor under 18 years of age, please plan to attend with a parent, guardian, or other trusted supervising adult.

Please plan to bring a water bottle. Also bring garden gloves and your favorite tools, if you have them. We will have water refills, tools, and gloves available to borrow. In the event of inclement weather, we will contact all registered participants if we need to cancel.

If you have additional questions, please send them to Leslie Rose, Extension Horticulture Agent and Director of the Arboretum, at leslie_rose@ncsu.edu or call 336-703-2850.

Accommodation requests related to a disability should be made at least 10 days prior to the event by contacting Colleen Church, Interim County Extension Director, at (336) 703-2850 or by email at colleen_church@ncsu.edu.
