Learn the fundamentals of magic in a fun, hands-on class designed for adults.

This 2-hour introductory workshop is perfect for beginners — no prior experience needed; all experience-levels welcome.

You’ll learn the core principles magicians use to create the illusion of the impossible, along with a few simple but powerful tricks you can perform right away.

In this class, you’ll explore:

• The elements and rules of magic
• Basic sleight of hand techniques
• Misdirection and audience perception
• Making small objects appear and disappear
• “Magic of the mind” and how attention is controlled

This is a relaxed, interactive class where you’ll practice techniques, learn tricks step-by-step, and gain confidence performing them.

By the end of the class, you’ll be able to entertain friends, family (great for grandchildren), coworkers — or just enjoy seeing magic from a whole new perspective. This is a great class to take on your own, or with a friend or date.

Location & Parking: This event is hosted at Journey IFC in the Crestview neighborhood at 7500 Woodrow Ave, Austin, TX 78757. Parking is available in the building’s parking lot, or along Aggie Lane.
