The Evanston City Council is considering adoption of an Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance. The City of Evanston, the US Green Building Council of Illinois (USGBC-IL) and the Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA) are hosting a free Benchmarking Workshop to help building owners and managers learn about benchmarking and get a head start on signing up their building. The workshop will provide free hands-on instruction on setting up your building in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager and how to enter building energy and water consumption into the tool.
ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is a free online tool that requires a computer to utilize so please bring your own laptop to the workshop. All levels of knowledge and experience with benchmarking and energy management are welcome!
