About this event

NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, Office of Communications, and Office of STEM Engagement seek to expand external awareness of science priorities, missions, and major milestones. To do this, they are collaborating to host periodic webinars designed for external organizations who engage in national and local student and public engagement opportunities. These webinars are designed to introduce participants to key elements of NASA Science and resources available to support them as they serve students, educators, families, and the general public. Recent examples include webinars around the solar eclipses, Asteroid Autumn and DART. Typical webinar attendance includes a mix of national and regional partners who then use this information for social campaigns and new STEM and public engagement products.

Learn about NASA’s next mission that seeks to understand if conditions for life exist in the solar system beyond Earth.

In October 2024, NASA is sending a mission to explore an ocean on another world. Europa, a moon of Jupiter, has a global ocean of liquid water under an icy surface. The Europa Clipper mission will orbit Jupiter, making several close approaches to Europa to collect data on geology, chemistry, and determine whether there are places below Europa’s surface that could support life.

Please join NASA for an informational webinar to learn about:

· The Europa Clipper mission, including the technical and scientific innovation necessary to explore this icy moon.

· NASA’s Astrobiology program and the search for life in the universe.

· Opportunities to engage with NASA on plans for student and public engagement.
