About this event

  • 2 hours

The thousands of immigrants coming to Cleveland often settled in ethnic neighborhoods. Their churches, stores, and cultural social halls provided a reminder of their native homeland and a reprieve from having to speak English. Learn about the many cultural halls that existed, and still exist, at Bohemian National Hall in Slavic Village, a prime example of an ethnic cultural center. Discussion, tours of Bohemian National Hall, Czech museum, and Czech beer, of course, will be part of the experience. Additionally, they will provide an overview of the proposal for the Cleveland Arcade to house a Cleveland Cultural Center.

Free, Registration Requested.
