Event Details

A two day workshop organized and provided by MPCA in collaboration with the Maine State Office of Rural Health and Primary Care.

Day One:

Leadership Ethics and Moral Management.

This highly interactive session will provide framework and logic for decision making in leadership and business ethics issues in the healthcare setting. After discussing basic concepts of leadership ethics, and reviewing the most common sources of ethical confusion, we will review strategies for creating an organizational environment of ethics.

Day Two:

The Ethics of Gender, Sex and Sexuality

This highly interactive session will review a series of ethical issues surrounding gender, sex and sexuality. We will discuss ethical concepts and study specific case studies involving topics such as truthfulness issues, autonomy issues, employee’s personal values and comfort, and challenges presented by recent legal changes regarding same sex couples.

Target Audience: Board of Directors, Medical, Dental and Behavioral Leadership, Quality Improvement

FAQs

What's the refund policy?

Cancellation: A standard fee of $20.00 exists to cover administrative and registration costs.  

 

Refund: If registration is cancelled two weeks before the event, a refund of the registration amount – less the cancellation fee of $20.00 – will be issued. If a registration is cancelled four to seven days prior to the event, a refund of 50% of the registration cost will be issued. MPCA will not issue refunds for cancellations with less than four day's notice or for “no-show’s”, when an individual is registered and does not attend the event.

 

Transfer: There is no fee associated with transferring your registration to another person within your organization.Contact Andrea Watkins at awatkins@mepca.org to do so.

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, we will have a sign in sheet at the table with your registration information.

 

 Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

Absolutely. There is no charge for participant substitution, but please contact the organizer so she can update the event records.
