About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours 30 minutes

Join us for an exciting half day class in our downtown Charleston lab! This hands-on workshop is designed to equip you with all the essential skills to work behind an espresso bar.

Throughout the day, you'll learn how to taste and dial in espresso, steam milk to perfection, and even pour some latte art. We’ll also introduce tools like the Flavor Wheel to help you refine your palate and describe espresso with confidence.

By the end of the class, you'll be able to craft delicious espresso and milk-based drinks on any machine and develop a strong foundation in sensory skills.

We will be working on a new La Marzocco GB5 espresso machine and Mazzer and Mahlkonig grinders.

Snacks will be provided—just bring yourself and a passion for great coffee!

Cancellation Policy: If for any reason we need to cancel or reschedule the course for a later date we will provide as much notice as possible. However, we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance or keep flexible travel arrangements. We are committed to working with all students and will do our best to be as flexible as possible to accommodate everyone!
