About this event

  • 10 hours

The ESO Maidstone Alumni and the ESO Student Union are organising a unique opportunity to gather all generations of ESO graduates, teachers, staff and students from 1951 to 2024 for an Alumni Day in Boxley on Saturday the 6th of July 2024.

It will be a relaxed familly event, where kids and partners are welcome. The idea behind this event is for everybody to gather and to feel comfortable spending a beautiful day sharing together.

At your arrival, each of you will receive a sticker with your name, your year of graduation or your role at the ESO, and the country you are living and practicing at the moment.

From noon, a picnic will take place on the green surrounding the school in Boxley, please bring your own picnic blanket and shade. You can bring your own food, or buy some on the site sold by the Student Union to fund their graduation party ( burgers, fries, vegetarian option, drinks, or cake will be available).

In the afternoon, kid’s activities will be organised on the site, and some talks will take place in one of the lecture’s room. The aim is to allow everyone that would like to take part, to share experiences and ideas in a constructive way. The question of how we could help the future of the school and the legacy of the ESO to continue could be raised.

All the first European osteopaths graduated from the ESO. They then developped Osteopathy in every single country of Europe, developing Osteopathic schools or professional associations.
The ESO is the biggest worldwide network of Osteopaths, having ESO graduates working on every continent.
Which role and form could the ESO have for the future of Osteopathy in Europe ?

In the evening, a concert will take place, bar and kitchen by the Student Union will remain open.

This day will have a special thought to honour the contribution of Margery Bloomfield, key figure in the history of the school that recently passed away.

There will be special mentions from ESO graduates from the years 1994, 2004 and 2014 that have planned to celebrate their 30th, 20th and 10th Graduation anniversaries.

The program for the day is still under reflection, so please feel free to contact us if you have got any suggestions for this celebration (esomaidstone.alumni@gmail.com).

We are looking forward to meet again and see you all for this special day !
