Samba Bamba is the premiere Samba band in Austin, with seasoned, talented musicians and a vibrant set list tailored for your dancing feet. Like in the Rodas de Samba in Brazil, the spirit is of a community getting together to sing and play samba while having a good time.
Mixing new and traditional classic Brazilian Sambas, some original compositions and other jewels, their music transmits a good vibe feeling and an overwhelming joy sensation. Their goal is a simple one: to get everyone happy and dancing.
Escondidinho is a Brazilian expression meaning "a little hidden place" in a loose translation. The purpose of this event is to reunite special people interested in experiencing an authentic Brazilian House party, providing a deep dive in our culture through all senses by tasting our food, music and dance in a cozy atmosphere.
Samba Bamba will be playing live music on a Roda de Samba style that encourages participation ( singing, clapping, dancing ) from the audience. Traditional food will be available for sale, and the house will be full of friends, just like you, that are interested and in love with Brazilian culture. Reminding that by being a house concert it is a B.Y.O.B event. Our host at the house has refrigerators available to storage your cold beverage, if needed.
Escondidinho is also the name of a traditional Brazilian dish. The easiest way to describe it is by saying that it is similar to a Shepherd's Pie, but at the same time it is really nothing like it. Escondidinho is made with carne seca, a dried, salted meat similar to jerked beef, and manioc/yucca. It is baked in the oven and perfect with beer. Popular in the state of Minas Gerais and other states in the northeast of Brazil. it is simple and super tasty! For this event we will be selling a delicious homemade Escondinho, the traditional recipe, and some variations, for your tasting pleasure.
Our event will be hosted at a beautiful private house surrounded by nature, with multiple spacious rooms, open kitchen and amazing outside deck with a gorgeous view. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for this event.
