Summer Reading 2026

Travel back in time and "Unearth a Story" in this year's Summer Reading Program at the Detroit Public Library. Find activities and challenges packed with prehistoric fun all summer long.

Students will make observations about dinosaurs based on photographs and fossils, then create a multi-step escape plan should their new dinosaur friend turn out to be less than friendly! Become a published author at the end of the program!
