ERT Spring Training 2019

The PNWUMC Disaster Response team is hosting the Third Annual Early Response Team “Spring Training” May 10 and 11 at Lazy F Camp & Retreat Center near Ellensburg, WA. Learn how to safely provide relief to families affected by floods, fires, destructive winds, and more from United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) trained and experienced instructors. The ERT Basic Training is offered for first-time participants along with Refresher and Advanced ERT classes for those currently in the program.  
Beginning Friday early afternoon, the Spring Training team will offer a full schedule of events including special presentations and advanced trainings.

<LI>The Basic ERT Training will be held all day Saturday and include the Friday sessions.</LI>
<LI>Refresher and Advanced courses include Team Leader and Safety Officer trainings.</LI>
<LI>A hands-on Chainsaw Proficiency segment is also available to current ERT badge holders with some prerequisites. Please inquire for details if interested.</LI>

There’ll be fellowship time around the Lazy F campfire pit. All of the training wraps up by 5:00 pm on Saturday. 
The price still can’t be beat!  $50 per person includes the ERT Basic, Refresher or Advanced courses, Friday night accommodations in a Lazy F shared bunkhouse-style lodge, three meals, snacks, and class training materials.
The deadline to register is Wednesday, May 1. Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to attend.
